Open championship of the South of Russia on sports programming - XI Open Contest of the Southern Federal University “ContestSFedU-2017” was held in Taganrog on April 21 - 23. The Championship was held on the basis of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security of Southern Federal University with the support of the leading IT companies of the South of Russia, among which Singularis Lab played as a silver sponsor.
39 teams took part in the final of the tournament. This year Volgograd Region was represented at once by two teams from Volgograd State Technical University:

Team 1: Artem Nosov, Nikita Penskoi (coach: Singularis Lab Leading Software Engineer, Associate Professor of CAD Department, Ph.D., Alexander Kataev);

Team 2: Artem Kurylev, Dmitry Bulankin and Mikhail Kovalyov (coach: P.G. of CAD Department, Vladislav Agafonov).
Both Volgograd STU teams performed well and took the 3rd and the 10th places in the team tournament accordingly. Also, the first team won the nomination "The best result among the team of universities".
All the winners were awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes from organizers and sponsors at the closing ceremony of the Championship.
