publication date: June 30, 2015

Singularis Lab engineers conducted course of lectures and practical classes for the students of Summer Supercomputing Academy 2015, which is traditionally held at Lomonosov Moscow State University, on June 23-25. The training was held in the track “Parallel programming using the Intel tools”. This track was focused on collecting of deep knowledge of the structure and operation of modern supercomputers assembled on Intel processors. Our engineers talked to the students about MPI and OpenMP technologies of parallel programming, architecture and capabilities of the coprocessor Intel (R) Xeon Phi (TM), held master-classes devoted to solving applied problems using the Intel (R) Xeon Phi (TM). Throughout the course, the students were active, asking questions to the lecturers and performing practical and laboratory tasks. It should be noted that although there were students from different universities and cities with different baggage of knowledge, but upon completion of the training each of them passed the final test for the course successfully. The materials of the lectures and practical classes can be found on our website in the Materials.
