All-russian youth school of robotics

The youth school "Atomic Sphere: Embedded Systems and Robotics - 2013" will take place on October 7-13, 2013, at the Department of Electronics and Computer Science of Volgograd State Technical University (VolgSTU) with the support of Intel, the Nizhny Novgorod Foundation for Education and Research (NNFER) and St. Petersburg State University (SPSU).

The purpose of the school is practical introduction of student youth and young professionals to advanced IT-technologies: an intensive study and practical learning of modern aspects of programming and the use of embedded systems in various fields, as well as application of modern technologies and tools of high performance computing.

The scope of the school is an overview of recent advances in embedded systems and robotics, their development, examples of use in solving practical problems. Classes are taught by teachers of St. Petersburg State University and experts from Intel. The program includes additional courses and training on technology entrepreneurship and creative thinking, as well as business counseling and screening of ideas for future contests of Intel. Within the School there is scheduled the Contest of Ideas, during which participants will have the unique opportunity to not only submit to the jury of the Contest the idea of development of a high-tech innovation product, but also to obtain advice of competent professionals to refine and improve ideas.

Students, undergraduates and graduates of Russian universities specializing in computer technology and technological entrepreneurship are invited for participation in the school.

Participation in the school is free of charge. During classes, all participants will be provided with meals. Participants from other cities will be offered free accommodation in the rest and recreation centre of VolgSTU. Travel expenses shall be borne by the sending party.

Registration of participants is open from August 15 to September 15, 2013. Anyone wishing to participate in the school must register on the official website of the school http://roboschool.org (the site will open from August 15) and load the filled-in application form.
