Have you ever wondered how websites of such companies as Facebook, Avito, Yuola or Cian operate with such huge loads on their systems? Answers to this and other questions related to highload systems could be obtained at the HighLoad++ 2019 conference, which was held on November 7 and 8 at "The Skolkovo School of Management" in Moscow. At the conference, our company was represented by the software engineer Roman Gushchin.

Since there were a lot of lectures at the conference, Roman has chosen the most interesting ones for himself. He liked most of all the presentation of Nikolai Samokhvalov from Postgres.ai with the topic "Expensive DELETE. Typical errors when performing bulk operations in highload PostgreSQL databases".

It should be mentioned that at the same time as in Moscow, the HighLoad conference was held in St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk.  In the building’s lobby, lecturers and participants could calmly communicate with their colleagues from other places.

As a result, we can say that the event was well organized. And Roman has made sure how important a DevOps engineer is for any modern IT-production company.
