VII (XVIII) Open Volga Region Sports Programming Championship was conducted at the Samara University on April 12-15.
The championship was held in one round by the rules of the international student competition ACM ICPC. Teams, consisting of three students, were allowed to participate in competition. It is worth noting that the level and impact of the Volga region Championship is growing every year. And 82 teams from more than 30 universities took part in the contest.
Two teams from Volgograd State Technical University and two teams of Volgograd State University represented Volgograd Region. The Technical University was represented by the following teams:
- Team 1 - Artem Nosov, Nikita Penskoi and Maxim Kirienko (coach: Vladimir Chalyshev);
- Team 2 - Artem Kurylev, Dmitry Bulankin and Mikhail Kovalyov (coach: Vladislav Agafonov).
As a result of the competition, the first Volgograd STU team, trained by Singularis Lab, took the third place in the Volga Region Sports Programming Championship.
